Conference 2015‎ > ‎

Practical

Travel

The conference takes place at the Postdoc Centre, in Cambridge City Centre (see below for map). Note that it can be accessed from both Mill Lane and Silver Street - if you're entering from Silver Street, you want to go through this archway and turn left; from Mill Lane you enter through this carpark and follow it to the end before turning right. The Postdoc Centre is in the basement of the building.

Cambridge is easily accessible by both train and coach. Participants arriving from London are advised to take the train from King's Cross, which takes 45-50 minutes and runs every half an hour. Train timetables can be accessed here. If you are arriving at Heathrow, you can either take the tube or train to London, or the coach direct to Cambridge.

If you are arriving in Cambridge by train, the Postdoc Centre is 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes in a taxi. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the station, followed by a short walk: the Citi 1, Citi 3 and Citi 7 buses (as well as many of the Park and Ride buses) stop on St Andrew's Street, Emmanuel Street or Parker Street - click here for further information.

There is very limited parking in the city centre. If arriving by car, you are advised to use the Park and Ride services. Delegates who are staying overnight in one of the colleges may have access to a parking space - contact the organisers for further information.
